This is a bargain bucket wine from the supermarket chain Lidl (http://www.lidl-info.com). It is very drinkable if lacking in any depth but at €1.99 it is a real bargain and perfect for relaxed drinking at a BBQ or just relaxing outside in the sun. If you enjoy a light fruity wine then is excellent.Even works with a good bit of a chill on it. If you want a bottle of plonk to wash down the BBQ offerings, then this is ideal. It would also be ideal for making sangria.

To be honest I been dreading reviewing this wine. The reason being it is produced less then 250 metres from my front door. Luck would have it, it is rather a decent wine. It is a little herby on the nose. On the palate it comes alive. There are notes of liquorice and chocolate, with a ripe fruits of the forest finish. A cracker of a wine and all the best for being very local and helping me reduce my carbon foot print!
